MONSERRAT PALACIOS

Originally from CDMX, she was born on May 12, 1999. In 2017 she started the Visual Arts career at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Her work is mainly focused on the disciplines of painting and drawing and alternately in photography, sculpture and graphics. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions within in Mexico and abroad.

Her academic training is based on theoretical and practical courses, focused on art and culture, as well as within sociology, politics and comparative religions.

She has been speaker in academic and governmental spaces with topics on Afro-Caribbean history and culture.

She is currently a contributor to the digital magazine Cuadernos del Ojo Lunar with essays on film criticism.
